The Global Software House supports HELLA’s sustainable success in a software-driven future by taking software development and testing expertise to the next level. Anchored at HELLA Aglaia in Berlin, the GSH coordinates company-wide software activities with global responsibility and develops new, digitalized business models.
An organizational unit of the HELLA Group, the Global Software House forms a worldwide network of experts. Berlin-based software specialist HELLA Aglaia manages the teams at locations in Germany, India, and Romania that cooperate across four working areas. Through close coordination with the local product groups, this bundles regional expertise into the code for a joint future in automotive technology.

Our world is increasingly being shaped by the use of software, which means that new development opportunities arise at a steady pace. In order to explore new potential outside HELLA’s core operations, we are researching new markets and evaluating market opportunities. This approach supports sales and product management teams and helps to create fundamental technologies for new business models.
Good software – good code – is more than just clean syntax: Specialists from the fields of supplier management, quality, and legal affairs assist the project teams in matters regarding applicable development and safety standards as well as the legal framework. It is a complex interaction that always balances customer requirements and internal objectives to achieve the best possible results.
In the Software Foundation area, we focus on harmonizing HELLA’s global development activities and creating uniform methods and processes for the development and testing of software. Another task is the creation of a repertoire of reusable software components. Building on this foundation, HELLA teams will be able to shorten their development times in the future and also benefit from consistently high-quality standards.
The Software Solutions area brings innovative ideas to life – from classic software products to smart solutions from the field of artificial intelligence. In addition, operating as an internal service provider, the integrated Software Services support with additional resources at short notice to ensure balanced and on-schedule development at any time.
