A current megatrend in the automotive industry is electrification. This results in various new functions with special requirements for a vehicle’s electrical system and energy storage devices: depending on the degree of electrification, the conventional 12V electrical system is supplemented by a 48V or a high-voltage electrical system. New battery technologies are used for the required energy storage systems.

In our team of battery experts you develop and test application software for a battery management system (Li-Ion) with Matlab Simulink and Targetlink

  • You create concepts for the realization of different functions in such an application in discussion with the other battery experts in the team,
  • You evaluate these concepts by measurements with batteries and battery cells
  • You realize an implementation suitable for embedded systems using Matlab Simulink and Targetlink
  • You validate the solutions found with the help of battery measurements
  • You support customer communication on battery-related topics in German and English.
  • You support the system engineers and software analysts in specifying requirements and test criteria for battery-related functions of the BMS.

This makes you stand out

  • You have a degree (Master or equivalent) in electrical engineering or computer engineering (or related).
  • You have sound scientific knowledge in mathematical modeling of batteries and other mathematical modeling concepts in engineering and are familiar with Matlab, Simulink and ideally Targetlink.
  • You have gained practical experience in measuring batteries or battery cells.
  • You show a high affinity for software development and especially algorithms.
  • You have excellent communication skills in German and English and are willing to travel.
