At HELLA Aglaia, we are passionate about software. Through our People Sensing division, we offer intelligent solutions and highly effective products for people counting and smart buildings and are one of the leading suppliers of 3D camera sensor technology.

As part of the business unit, you will support the development and distribution of high-precision people counting devices to help improve comfort and safety in retail and public transport.

This is waiting for you

  • You are part of a development team that develops tools for administration and configuration of camera-based sensors for people detection and counting. The devices come with a customized Linux OS that includes web-based interfaces for administration. Based on this, the team is developing a cloud-based IoT platform to manage and control all sensors in use worldwide.
  • You will design web front-ends for the control and monitoring of individual devices as well as for the administration of entire clusters of diverse camera-based sensors.
  • You develop the backend of the cloud-based IoT platform and contribute to the elaboration of concepts for variable roll-out and easy scalability.
  • You design RESTful APIs and other interfaces to connect all system components efficiently and flexibly.
  • You work in an agile team on the constant expansion and improvement of the products.

What makes you stand out

  • Completed studies in computer science, media informatics or comparable
  • Good knowledge of at least one of the current frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular or React, as well as a feeling for well-designed frontends, especially with regard to their user experience
  • Experience in backend programming, preferably in Golang or Python, as well as experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
  • Knowledge with containerized deployment (Docker & Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Working based on an agile development process, as well as a goal- and team-oriented work style goes without saying for you
  • You are open to looking to the right and left of your tasks and want to not only develop software, but build high quality products that convince customers
