Wilhelm Kinberger

AUTOSAR Software Developer / Battery Management Systems

Even during his electrical engineering studies, Wilhelm Kinberger was already working on new technologies, helping develop an electrically powered racing car and carrying responsibility for the development of control units and electrical safety in the Formula Student Team DHBW Engineering. “We were tenth in the world rankings, which is a really good result. Working on new technologies in a great team made me want to integrate this into my professional career back then.”

This is how Wilhelm came to HELLA Aglaia as an embedded software engineer shortly after successfully completing his studies and he is still happy with this decision today: “The development and engineering activities really suit me very well.”

Wilhelm’s current area of responsibility is developing high-voltage battery management systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. This involves meeting the high demands on reliability and safety. “It’s a great feeling to think that vehicles whose technology I actively helped develop could pass me on the roads at any time, and it makes me proud.”

In his spare time, Wilhelm likes to broaden his horizons with travel and do-it-yourself projects. Here, too, the focus is often on problem solving: “Unlike professionalism at work, however, here you make a virtue of necessity every now and then, which in turn is good training to think outside the box.”
